Privacy Policy

Clickurr ("the app") is a pet training clicker and companion app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: Clickurr has no servers, no user accounts, and collects no personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.

1. Who I am

2. The simple summary

  • I do not collect, transmit, or store your data on any server. I don't operate one.
  • The app uses no analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party software of any kind.
  • It never asks for your name, email, or an account — there is no sign-up.
  • Everything you create in the app (your pets' details, training progress, notes, photos) is stored only on your device, inside the app's private storage area.
  • The only time information leaves your device is when you choose to share or export a training bundle yourself (see section 5).

Because I collect no personal data, there is nothing for me to sell, share, or lose.

3. What the app stores on your device

To make the app work, Clickurr saves the following on your device only. None of it is sent to me or to anyone else.

  • Pet profiles — the details you enter about your pet, such as name, type, breed, size, age or date of birth, sex, weight, coat type and colour, indoor or outdoor status, activity level, and any dietary notes you add.
  • Pet photos — any photo you choose for a pet, copied into the app's private storage.
  • Training content — your tricks, training guides, completion dates, optional notes, streaks, and progress statistics.
  • Settings — your preferences, such as sound and haptic settings, appearance, and your training reminder time.

This information is held in the app's private, sandboxed storage. Other apps cannot read it. When you delete the app, this data is removed by the operating system. You can also erase everything at any time using Settings → Delete all data.

4. Information about your pet

The details you enter are about your pet, not about you, and are not personal data under data protection law. The app uses these details on your device only — for example, to show training guides and tips that suit the type of pet you are training.

This pet information never leaves your device. It is not uploaded, shared, or used to build any profile of you. All of this processing happens locally on your phone.

5. Sharing and importing training bundles

Clickurr lets you export your own training guides as a file and import guides that others have shared with you. This only ever happens when you choose to do it, using your phone's standard share sheet or Files app. I am not involved in this transfer and never see the contents. Where the file goes, and who you send it to, is entirely your choice.

6. Notifications

If you turn on the training reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device to remind you to train your pet. This is handled entirely by your phone — no reminder data is sent to me or over the internet. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your device's system settings.

7. Permissions the app may ask for

  • Photos — only when you choose to add a photo to a pet. The app uses your device's built-in photo picker, which lets you select a single photo without granting the app access to your whole library.
  • Notifications — only if you enable training reminders, so the reminder can appear on your device.

The app does not request access to your microphone, location, contacts, or camera.

8. Children's privacy

Clickurr is a general-audience pet app and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

9. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA)

I want to be clear about your rights even though, in practice, I hold no personal data about you — so there is nothing for me to access, correct, delete, or transfer on my side.

  • Access, correction, and deletion: All your information lives on your device and is fully under your control. You can view and edit it in the app, and delete all of it at any time via Settings → Delete all data or by uninstalling the app.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information: I do not sell or share personal information. I have none to sell or share, and I run no advertising or tracking.
  • No automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

10. Data security

Your data is stored in the app's private, sandboxed area on your device and is protected by your device's own security (such as your passcode and device encryption). Because I operate no servers and transmit no data, there is no central store of user data that could be breached.

11. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time — for example, if I add new features. When I do, I will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
